Lost heat in middle of the night. Called the problem in at 7 AM and a tech was at the house at 10:30 AM. Problem was identified as debris had accumulated in two lines. Furnace would run and immediately shut down due to pressure build up. Problem identified and resolvedto great satisfaction of homeowner.

Charged me 100 bucks to come “troubleshoot” the furnace. Removed one screw (mind you, no scope, etc) and immediately went into prices on new units. Since this wasn’t really a service call and was just a sales call, shouldn’t have been charged a dime. Free estimates on replacements are done by all other companies.

When my furnace suddenly went out in the middle of winter, these guys were the only ones out of dozens that I called who could come out same day. They were also able to immediately set me up with heaters until my new furnace was installed, which was seamless. Support them if you can!!!

FYI, IT WAS ONE OF THEIR OWN TECHNICIANS WHO TOLD ME HE HAD NO LICENSE, AND NONE OF THE OTHER TECHS DID EITHER!!!***UPDATE: now having had two other HVAC companies out I'm even more angry! The problems that this company missed are astronomical and catastrophic. My house could have literally caught on fire due to their errors! Just might be talking my lawyer. What a scam company! They do not hire licensed techs! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!!I've had Carbon Valley at my house 5 times in 6 months. Finally opened my eyes and took my business elsewhere! One tech actually told me I had a "filterless furnace" because he couldn't find the filter! #1, no such thing - #2, I HAVE TWO FILTERS! The last tech I had out - Samson - intimated that the company does not hire qualified workers, they'll hire ANYONE and expect them to figure it out. He was the ONLY tech working for them at this point according to his claim. This last time I called, they never even returned the call, and I had another company out here before even hearing from Carbon Valley. What a shame in a small town area that you treat your customers that way! I thought at first they were great - but just realized they hire really friendly techs to cover up the fact that they're a poorly run business and don't offer quality service. Like I say, when their techs tell customers they have a "filterless" furnace when that's not even a thing - well, enough said about their training and level of professionalism. NEVER AGAIN!

We've used this business twice now for a furnace repair. On both occasions, scheduling was quick and their call center responsive. On this date -- our second repair -- our service technician called en route to our home and even arrived 10 minutes prior to our appointment window. Jed was efficient and professional, quickly identifying the issue and working diligently to correct the problem. He answered all of our questions and was easy to understand as he explained the problem. Our repair was completed in less than three hours. I would highly recommend this business.

Another service provider pushed out an appointment more than six days with a cold snap coming over the weekend. My furnace was not blowing hot air. I called carbon valley and they had a tech out to us in a little under two hours Sampson diagnosed the problem, educated me on what was going wrong, and even told me how to avoid this issue in the future, no hard selling on a new unit and he was quick and efficient and I will have heat before the temperature drops. Picture this. It's the first 100 degree day of the summer, everything should be fine, then you find water around your furnace and your AC goes out. But wait, it's 3 PM on a Saturday. The temperature in your house is climbing. Your kids definitely aren't going to be able to sleep unless this thing is fixed. Then you remember, Dale from Carbon Valley gave you his personal number to call in case something like this might happen! You call, he picks up, and by 5 PM your AC is cranking and your house is getting cooler than a polar bear's toenails. That's what happened this weekend and that's why I will continue to go back to CVH&A for all my HVAC needs in the future. Thanks again!

Really like this company. The team did an amazing job. They are professional and high quality. The team re piped my hvac duct system in my basement to accommodate splitting my home for a 1st floor unit and a 2nd floor unit, installed 2 new furnaces and a/c units with new wifi thermostats and installed a mini split unit for my garage with a wifi thermostat. Carbon Valley will always be my go to company for all my heating and cooling needs. The team was very easy to deal with, and scheduling was quick. Carbon Valley is the best company for your heating and air conditioning needs. I needed a new furnace and air conditioner. Josh was complete and thorough in bidding on the job and was very competitive. The job was installed quickly where the technicians were very careful in removing the old furnace and installing the new furnace with no damage or scratches to any surface. I was kept informed of all they were doing. A minor adjustment was needed upon completion and another tech was dispatched to my house within 24 hours and the issue was solved quickly. Service was excellent. Invoicing needs to break down actual price of replacement part. I should not see a price difference of $300 between what the part can be purchased for online and what it was sold to me for. If the price sold to me includes the cost of replacing the part, then the labor should be itemized separately. If the price of replacement was $300 + the initial diagnostic price of $85, then I paid nearly $400 to have the control board replaced. I'll shop for a more transparent company in the future.

Horrible service and dishonest business. The guy came down to fix the part over $500 on the board it need. The furnace was still not working when the temperature outside was at 0. We went about a week without heat. Rather them working a deal for charging us over $500 they lied about the new proposal. Please I don't recommend this company for anyone. We went to Sunshine Plumbing and Heating. They made it right and give us a great discount. Even helped us save the $500 plus we spent on Carbon Valley.

This is why I always recommend people to get a second opinion is because of companies like you. I called Carbon Valley Heating and Air for my air conditioner a couple of weeks ago as it was making an awful sound outside. I contacted your company as it had such amazing reviews. Your technician showed up walked out back to my A/C unit walked up to it and says that the compressor is shot. He did not open it up, do anything else, literally just decided that, due to the sound it was making. He said it was not even worth dong a diagnostic at that point. I figured he must know what he was talking about as I know that the unit is older. So we sat down and he went through our choices of a new unit from you guys. Choices ranging from $7000-$12,000!!! He also said that we should replace the furnace while we were at it in a combo package as it was the same age. Don't worry though as you have great payment plans. Wanted me to sign the contract to get this going. Luckily I've been professionally involved in real estate for many years now and I never go with a first quote unless I have dealt with someone first hand several times. So after your technician left I contacted another highly rated company in the area. The second company came out two days later. Their technician walked over and says that the contactor relay is shot. To replace that part, do a full diagnostic and get my A/C running to perfection cost me $200! I asked him about any compressor issue and he said anyone who said that is ridiculous as a true compressor issue like that then the unit would have never even turned on. Further he says there is nothing wrong with our furnace there would have been no need to replace it even if there was an A/C issue. I think your company attempted to take advantage of me as I was a woman home with my young kids and your technician thought it would be an easy sale/commission as I would be dumb and sign whatever. You either have shady practices overall or need to have a serious evaluation with how your technicians are representing your brand out in the field!

My fireplace as experiencing a periodic problem with remaining on, and the technician quickly isolated a couple of minor adjustments that were required and the fireplace is working wonderfully. Carbon Valley Heating and Air has been taking care of our furnace and AC for a few years now. The service plan is well worth it to keep our equipment clean and maintained, and to know that I can call and get quick service if we have a problem.

My furnace was blowing cold air. I called Carbon Valley Heating & Air to get the issue resolved. The guy came in and poked around the crawlspace for a while. He came back up and said my issue was that the air return was too small and I needed to cut holes in my floor for an additional return and get a new furnace. I told him I'd like a second opinion. He did not resolve my issue. He then proceeded to charge me $85 dollars for the two hours he spent here "diagnosing" the issue, explaining to me he probably should charge more since he was here longer than the $85 covered or allowed for. I guess he was trying to make me feel like I was getting a good deal or something. When I called another company to come diagnose the issue, they pinpointed the problem immediately as a circuit board problem. The board had poor connections somewhere. They replaced the board and I had heat again.I would NOT recommend Carbon Valley Heating & Air - what was really a simple fix they could not correctly diagnose. To make matters worse, had I went with their diagnosis and recommendation it would have cost me a lot more money than just replacing the circuit board.

The night before Thanksgiving my furnace went out it was gonna be real cold at night. My technician was Brian ( I think )... He was awesome! He was very polite ! Our furnace/AC stopped working late at night on 7/3. After having contacted roughly half a dozen companies on 7/4, they were one of only two that got back to me. They were able to help diagnose the issue over the phone and told me the blower on the furnace had died.They didn't have a replacement on hand and wouldn't be able to get one that day due to the holiday. They did say they could stop by the morning on 7/5 with a motor to replace it. The other company that got back to me couldn't make it out for a week.They showed up within the time window they gave me and noticed some other issues with my furnace and recommend I replace the 17 year old unit. Another HVAC company had recommended I replace the unit a couple of years ago so I decided to bite the bullet and replace it.They weren't able to replace the unit that day, but given that I have an infant in the house they were able to make arrangements to get the new furnace installed on 7/6. Once again, they showed up when they said they would and quickly installed the new unit.I''m very happy with their work. They called me back (even on a holiday), everyone I dealt with was helpful, they were able to get the new unit in quickly for me, and at a fair price.

The service I got was amazing. I just wish they would have better communicated how much it was going to cost.I called and set up the appointment and was told it would be 85 dollars to diagnose the issue and from there they would explain how much it would cost before any additional work was done.They made it all the way through the visit and determined there was nothing actually wrong and hooked back up my water heater and turned it back on but never told me anything about how much additionally it would cost. The first time I found out the total was when he was done and about to leave. If I knew it would be an additional 176 dollars just to turn on my water heater after their inspection found no issues I would have just done it myself and saved 176 dollars.Update - Since this visit Carbon Valley called and made this right and refunded the amount overpaid.

Just as the weather was turning colder, our 15-year old furnace decided to die. We prefer to support local businesses so we called CVH&A. Jody on the phone was as nice as could be. She got Wes out to our house the next day. He determined that we had multiple failures that could be limped along but the system would eventually fail completely (during the coldest part of winter, of course). Wes gave us an all-inclusive quote on 8 different systems and explained the differences. We wound up buying a 97% efficiency furnace, the top model, but we were under zero pressure to do so. We did our internet research and found that this was the best model for our needs. Again, no pressure from CVH&A. The crew was able to get out for the install within 3 days. The install took 3 hours and the new system ran perfectly as soon as they fired it up. They even installed the included Wi-Fi thermostat, so we can control the temp from our couch. I would highly recommend Carbon Valley Heating & Air.

When our furnace stopped working, I saw great reviews for this local company. Within 30 minutes into the appointment the repair tech offered estimates of $9,000, $11,000 or $13,000 to fully replace it. Checked with another company, $50 to replace the blower.

Had to get my A/C and Furnace replaced. The customer service was above and beyond, the knowledge level that each staff person I spoke to was great as well. I didn't have to wait for an appointment, they worked with my schedule, and were on time every time. Could not have asked for a better interaction. I am very, very impressed with the level of work that we received. I would highly recommend this company and will use them in the future for our home now and future homes!

They never showed up. I was given an 8:00 - 12:00 appointment window for an A/C repair. At 11:45 I called to get an update and was told the tech was in the neighborhood and should be there in 15 minutes. I waited ANOTHER hour (12:45) and finally gave up. Half a days work lost and now I still have to wait for someone else to come fix the A/C.A four hour window is a target that any company should be able to hit, and I even gave them another 25% past that. That kind of performance makes the cable company look downright punctual.

They came out and gave me an estimate of $12000-$18000 to fix my central air! We had another company come and fix for $85! Then after 15 minutes of him being there he told me it would be $500 for the service call and then said just kidding its $80 for service call. Just do your research people and dont always look at the high star ratings it can be deceiving.

Horrible experience! they came out to give me a quote, I told wes the tech that i received a better offer from a different company. He asked to see the quote that I received, and i showed him. he told me he was going to try and beat it. He made a call, and told who ever was on the phone about my other offer and wanted to see what they could do to beat it. he then gave me a quote and told me he has to revise it and then he will email it to me. Needless to say two days go by no email. I call wes and leave a message two different times. I do not receive a call back from him. i then call the office and tell them what had happened. i wait another two days for the email. I still have to call for that to be sent. they Finally send it, but it is the wrong quote. I call to tell them that, and they have no clue what i am talking about. They then tell me they have to get a hold of the owner and i will get a call back that night or the next morning. well surprise i do not get a call, i have to call them back. My husband calls and they tell him that the tech(wes) did not offer what i had told them. they already gave me a good discount. The offer i received from a different company was for a model better and with the extras was and still cheaper than Carbon's base model. So why would i waste my time with them if i could get a better price? Very disappointed with how they handled this. just be straight up if you cant match another offer, do not lie to a customer. I have two children and no AC i was hoping to get it installed asap, not wait around because people can not be honest about a price!!!! Be Aware when and if you use them, plus make sure to have the tech write it in his own writing or record what he says. I wish i would have!

Excellent first experience with these guys. Cody came out to give me a quote on a new furnace, and in the process of an inspection of our system, determined that we actually DIDN'T need a new furnace (despite what another company told me), showed me what was wrong, and gave me a quote on that fix. Saved us several thousand dollars. So we signed them up for a service contract, and will continue to use them from here on out.Cody was professional, courteous, and exceedingly nice. Would recommend these guys all day long.

All in all a terrific experience. I will absolutely use CVHA again. Brian was our tech. We have two hvac units (upstairs and downstairs) that needed cleaning. First, scheduling was a breeze compared to two other companies I tried. Then, Brian was right on time, professional, and quick (but thorough!). My blowers and fans needed a bit of TLC and they looked brand new when he was finished with them. Brian also took the time to show me some potential problems that we may have from typical wear of the system, but he wasn't trying to sell me anything, and there wasn't any pressure to buy any parts or other service. Brian then took to the outside compressors and noted how great they looked given their age (about 10 years old). All in all a terrific experience. I will absolutely use CVHA again.

Cody was very professional and honest with us when he came over to fix our Heater. He did a great job of figuring out what was wrong with the heater and was able to get us heat that night since it was supposed to be single digit temps outside that night and the next day. He had to order a part but brought it back the next day to fix the main issue. He was also able to help fix our water heater as well when we thought we couldn't get it fixed. Saved us from having to get a new one for now. He is a great guy and I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Cody!!

Extremely disappointed! Had this company do the vents last year and was told one of the rooms couldn't be done because if water pipes. We recently remodeled the kitchen and replaced the floor. When the floor was out I notice the vent that this company claimed were pipes in front of was clear from any pipes. I called to let them know and emailed pictures the receptionist called me back and gave me all kinds of excuses so I asked her to have the owner call me as of today he has never returned my call. Will never again use this company or recommend them.

We hired Carbon Valley Heating and Air to help install a new furnace, water heater, and install new whole house central air to replace our swamp cooler. To say we were impressed is an understatement. We were looking for affordability, but didn’t want to sacrifice quality in the process. Josh, the owner of Carbon Valley, was wonderful at giving us all the facts and working with us to find options that worked within our budget. He never used pushy tactics or left us feeling like we couldn’t afford what we needed.When being installed, the workers that came to our home were courteous and hard working. After being delayed by a prior job, the workers stayed behind until the job was finished. Unfortunately, a busy day meant things got missed or forgotten, i.e. laying down cloth to protect flooring, cleaning up ceiling dust, and leaving unused holes in our ceiling, but all we had to do was mention it during our post walk through with Josh, the owner, and things were well on their way to being fixed. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Carbon Valley in the future.

When you lose your air conditioning on a Saturday night and the temperature is in the 90's that Sunday, It sure is refreshing to know there is a company like Carbon Valley Heating and AIr that you can count on to get the problem fixed and fixed quickly! I'm so happy to have found these guys. The whole team is fantastic, they went above and beyond for us. Even found a small gas leak we had no idea existed. We had a great experience working with Dale and the staff of CVHA. I called and was scheduled within a day. Dale worked with us to diagnose the problem, provided options for repair both short term and long-term, and did all of the legwork with the warranty, saved us about $500.00 on the part. The part came in within a few days, and we were scheduled the next day for the install. System is back up and running. All of the staff were great, prices were reasonable. I don't think I will be looking for a new HVAC person anytime soon. Thank you!

Please send a Huge shout out to Josh for the initial second opinion that blew Brother's out of the water by $4000.00. I was under a service contract with them and they told me with barely batting an eye that I needed a whole new unit. My friend was having the same issue down the street and new of Carbon Valley Heating & Air and Josh just happened to be at her house right after I received my shocking news. So I ran down and Josh was more than happy to look at it for me right then.He ran a small test and said no need to replace the unit it just needs a new motor. I was relieved...thrilled! That was do-able a whole new unit was not.Brian then took over my case and squeaked me into his already solid schedule so that I had my unit up and running in just under 2 days ( and that was with ordering a part).I was extremely happy. I put myself on their service plan and feel that I am making a good decision to move away from Brother's.I will recommend Carbon Valley Heating & Air to everyone that needs this type of work. And to anyone who is still with a company that wouldn't bat an eye at overcharging a single mother of 4 beautiful girls for something that could have been minimal. I'm sorry I will play that card. What they said was wrong with my air conditioner is not okay. I would have spent that money thinking I had no other option because I trusted them.No more...now I trust Carbon Valley Heating & Air. And you should too!

These guys are outstanding!! I've been using them for the past 5 years and every time they are on-time, extremely professional, and very efficient at diagnosing problems and performing routine service. I've also used them for new installations and they always knock it out of the park. The owner is even occasionally part of the installation team and is a very nice and knowledgeable person. They are affordable and offer a pretty nice annual maintenance plan that is very reasonable for the service you receive. I would highly recommend these guys if you are in the Frederick, Firestone, or Dacono area.

They were out here in less than 24 hours after I called (not an emergency call), and not only helped with what I called about but identified that my hot water heater was also greatly in need of replacement. As a recently single parent, it's hard to know who to trust, but they were great. They didn't charge anything for the 2 or more hours they were here on the first day, which included replacing a part to get my heat going again for the time being, and then came back the next day to replace everything. Very professional, kind, and would highly recommend them.

The tech arrived late. He spent 15 min at my house, and told me that my furnace needed replaced. He refused to check anything else, and still charged me $75 for the 15 min consultation. I was forced to get a second opinion. It was money well spent, a $35 part and a $25 labor charge and my furnace runs great. I will never waste money here again.
