“I had a new air conditioning unit installed and Jed Gooras was called in because a pressure switch in the furnace was not working. He had to order the part and a few days later came to install it. That was great. It worked. Then came time to turn the heat on. Well…the heat wasn't working quite right (not really warm. As it turned out the part that handles the condensation was clogged up. He came back yet again and unclogged the part and stayed to make sure everything was working as it's supposed to. While he was here I learned a lot about my furnace! Poor guy! It was his third trip to the house. But I am extremely grateful and more educated!”

Our previous contractor is no longer servicing industrial accounts, leaving us to search for a new maintenance source for our rooftop HVAC requirements in all units. “The main fan in my Forced air gas furnace, started to make a non-normal sound and I called Carbon Valley after receiving 2 recommendations for their service. They came promptly and diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the part and when it came in, they installed it. Gavin began the job and Jed finished it as Gavin was on another job when the part came in. I was concerned with a second technician finishing another's work, but it was handled perfectly, and the job was completed to my satisfaction. The price was exactly as quoted, and everything was left fixed and running to perfection. FYI my system is 18 years old, and no one tried to upsell me on anything.”

“Carbon Valley installed our new HVAC system four years ago. They did a great job and it has run like a champ – summer and winter. It's a CARRIER brand – two ton capacity.
My dear old mother-in-law came over to dog sit; and left the back door open for three hours. The A/C was set at 72 degrees and it was over 100 degrees outside. This precipitated a system failure – the refrigerant compressor was overworked and the motor-starting capacitor failed. JACOB, our trusty Carbon Valley HVAC Technician came to the rescue ASAP. He quickly trouble-shot the problem; replaced the capacitor; and refilled the refrigerant (which had run a little low over four years of service).
JACOB was professional, polite, and hard-working on the sunny side of our house in the late high-summer afternoon. He explained all his observations, recommendations, and actions. His obvious technical competence and humble, humorous demeanor inspired confidence. He respectfully reminded me to change the air handler filter; and rinse off the condenser coils monthly with my garden hose. This will save us money in the long run.
We will call Carbon Valley again, whenever we need heating or air conditioning service.

This technician had to do a lot of diagnostic work to find out what was wrong with my air conditioner and he had to check out the air conditioner and the thermostat and the furnace downstairs was a long process to find out that it had been wired incorrectly by the builder. First I called the office and ended up leaving a message.They called me back the next morning! It was amazing, just like they are professionals or something. Then the technician called about five minutes before the appointment window. Early? You guys will spoil me. The technician who came was very professional and checked my AC unit out and then let me know the good news. Nothing wrong with my unit(I had called because my downstairs neighbor was complaining.) The technician balanced the communication just right for me, not too chatty but I felt like if I did have questions he would have been more than happy to answer then completely.
This is the second time I have had any dealings with this company. First time I was house sitting for my brother. I can only speak to the technician from that day a year ago. He was a different gentleman and was just as skilled and professional.

I recently used Carbon Valley for an Air Conditioning unit that went out at my office. We have multiple units here and one decided to not work unexpectedly. When my old furnace stopped working, Carbon Valley was my first call. Dale arrived the same day (Friday), unfortunately with some bad news — the 13-year-old builder-grade furnace had a cracked and leaking heat exchanger, the inside of the furnace was caked with soot and the steel body rusting away. The inducer motor was seized and shot.
He explained everything to me and said the best thing to do was replace the old furnace. Dale gave me a quote on 4 new Carrier furnaces. Being a thrifty consumer, I called other local businesses for competitive quotes. Carbon Valley had the best price by far, had the best service contract (2 years) and let me know about rebates that were available. So naturally, I chose Carbon Valley.
Coincidentally, the same day I got a flyer in the mail from Carbon Valley for $300 off a new installation. I called Josh on Sunday and he told me of course the coupon would be honored.
Dale emailed me on Sunday to let me know Zack would arrive on Monday to install the new furnace. Monday morning, Zack was right on time, with his apprentice, Derek. They kept the noise and dust to a minimum, got the furnace installed in a few hours, showed us how to use the new thermostat, and even fixed a leaking water drain line.
Haley took care of all the rebates, the building permit and scheduling the work. We even got more back in rebates than expected!

Carbon Valley Heating & Air just did a complete system replacement of my air conditioning and furnace. Everything was fantastic. They showed up on time. Everything was ready to go. I made the call to schedule the install on Monday, and they came and did the work on Tuesday. The technician was really nice. He answered all of my questions. He took care to make sure that everything was done correctly and also that it looked nice. The old system had caused some little cosmetic issues that were not necessarily the responsibility of Carbon Valley Heating & Air to fix, but he took care of it. Carbon Valley Heating & Air had already been performing the maintenance on my old system, and I’ll continue to have them perform regular maintenance on my new system.

A technician from Carbon Valley Heating & Air recently came out to service our air conditioner unit. While he was here, he also provided us with a quote to replace our air conditioner and furnace system. Everything was great, and since we are on their customer service plan, they come out to do maintenance to our A/C unit regularly. The technician did a good job. He was on time and was professional and courteous. We’re still talking about the replacement, but even if we don’t do that soon, we would absolutely use them again.

This is my second major experience with Carbon Valley Heating and Air. They have always been clean in their garb. Their explanations and concerns have always been in easy to follow terms. They pre-called me prior to arriving and they were early both times.
I am a disabled Veteran with Multiple Sclerosis. Heat is the enemy. My AC went out when it was 99 degrees outside. My house was a hotbox and it was pushing me into relapse like symptoms. They moved heaven and earth to work me in early as they could. I am grateful.

This wasn’t my first time doing business with Carbon Valley Heating and Air but I was a little disappointed with what took place during our most recent service. We had them over to look at our furnace and fireplace, there were a lot of hiccups throughout the process and the technician that came out to do the work didn’t have all the information regarding what needed to be done. We have been using CVH&A since we moved into our house. The service has been excellent, they helped limp along our old furnaces and a/c units for the last 7+ years. We finally got the money to replace the old systems with new systems (furnace&a/c both upstairs and downstairs). Needless to say it was a significant amount of money and for that amount of money I feel there could have been a lot more attention to detail by the install crew. I won’t go into detail just that I was disappointed. Nevertheless, the new systems are functioning like they should and over all I will recommend CVH&A in the future.
Side note, Brian who is on the service side is very professional and took the time (over the years) to explain things to us, as the owner Josh has done as well. Both have been very patient and helpful in keeping our service costs down till we could afford to replace both of our old systems.
We will continue to use CVH&A in the future.

Carbon Valley Heating and Air installed both heating and AC systems in my home a couple of weeks ago. The installation went fine but the installers arrived about five hours late and I didn’t get a call to notify me of when they would arrive. I’ve used the AC since they put it in and it has been working OK so far. A guy named Brian came out about 10 days after and went over the whole system to get it all functioning and make sure everything was in order. Their prices were pretty comparable to other businesses out there, I would just say that the installers could communicate better with the customer.

The price was pretty standard for the industry. It was actually kind of a weird situation. They came out to a rental house where it turned out the tenants had flipped a switch that turned off the furnace. So after looking around to figure out the problem, all they had to do was flip the switch back. No repairs were required.

This is our 2nd experience with Carbon Valley Heating & Air, and both times have been excellent. This time, the problem with our heating system was simply our tenant not operating the system properly. There was no big charge and no attempt to sell us unneeded repairs. For the 1st experience, a minor component had a short circuit, and it took the CVH&A about 30 sec to detect the problem. This is notable because another company previously sold us a new circulation pump that wasn’t needed and had re-configured the gas pipe in such a way as to be a Code violation. None of that nonsense with CVH&A, who had to re-do the bad work. We recommend CVH&A highly!

My furnace was blowing air without heat on 12/22. I called Carbon Valley heating and air to see if they could get me back up prior to the Christmas weekend. The initial service was great, they sent a tech same day. After he spent 5 hours at my house trying to sell me furnace cleaning services he stated that he could not get the unit blowing hot air and that it would need to be replaced. He stated that if i signed up for a new furnace that night he would work late and try to get my unit running. At that point I sent him home and investigated myself. The unit had a limit switch fault code. The tech told me that the problem was the main limit switch, but he could not get it working. That was because the problem was not the main limit switch, it was the auxiliary limit switch which had a manual reset. I reset the switch and the furnace has been working perfectly since. I do not know if this is typical with this company, but you need to watch out for them. My furnace had a very simple problem that any technician should have been able to fix. Either the tech is no good, or the company tactic is to con people into new units. Either way, I will never use this company again.

The person that came out to fix my heater problem was great and went over everything that was needed. Only issue I have is I fell over charged. It was $1100 for a new blower on our furnace. When I look up blower motors they look to be around $100-200. I did have an emergency call but this seems a bit high for what I got.

Carbon Valley Heating and Air provided extraordinary service. My heater stopped working. A technician responded in a short amount of time and fixed a wire. He recommended I purchase a new furnace due to the age and condition of my unit. I hoped to get a few more years out of it but it kept failing. The estimator came and measured giving me several options for replacement. In the meantime they brought some radiant oil space heaters to get me by until the new heater was installed. Thank you for being so caring, Carbon Valleys service was superb.

My furnace quit working and after two visits the CVHA technicians diagnosed the problem as a faulty air pressure switch. The technicians who worked on this problem were friendly and polite. They wore shoe covers when they came into my house, which I thought was very considerate. My furnace is working now so I guess they did fix the problem. My only complaint? The part they installed would have cost at most $30 if I had bought it myself. CVHA charged $249. That’s at least an 800% markup. Buyer beware.

When my air conditioner suddenly stopped working in 95 degree heat, I googled several local options. Carbon Valley Heating & Air had an appointment request form right on their website that I quickly filled out. They promptly called back to confirm an appointment for the next morning.
The service technician, Bryan, called shortly before the appointed time to verify the location and make sure someone was home. He arrived right on time and started work. He explained everything he was doing, what problems he found and the options to fix the AC.
In less than 24 hours from first contacting Carbon Valley Heating & Air, the problem was fixed and the AC was back on and working great.

We had a problem with our furnace, it wasn’t igniting so I made a call and they came out quickly, within an hour or two which was really appreciated. To me the only thing was they charged me 280 dollars for a 20 dollar part. I was little disappointed in that, I rather be charged for emergency services rather than over charged on a part. But other than that they were great, they were quick and efficient once they started the work.

The companies technician Bryan Kovac arrived on time, reviewed with us our problems, and then systematically went through the furnace and corrected the problem. This sounds simple, but it took Bryan working 5 hours straight to do the diagnostics, clean out the furnace parts, reassemble the furnace and then staying long enough to ensure the problem was fixed. Prior to Bryan we had two other technicians (from the home builder) come and adjust things, but never corrected the problem. Bryan just didn’t walk away from issue. He truly wanted to see the problem corrected. If Bryan is like other employees at Carbon Valley, I will definitely call them again and will highly recommend them to others.

Service was great. It was thorough. Owner seemed to be very knowledgable. Unfortunately, they are ridiculously expensive. High service call fee. The icing was proposal to change $450 to replace a $45 device, that would take about 30 minutes of labor.

I was having issues with my furnace and it turns out the the control board was blowing a fuse. I called Carbon Valley Heating & Air and they showed up and he was able to diagnose the problem pretty quickly and found out one of wires was grounding out and blowing the fuse on the control board. He replaced that real quick and installed a new thermostat for us.

Response to service phone call to Carbon Valley was immediate. A phone call from Carbon Valley was to advise us that a different technian was being sent out. Tech showed up within an hour, diagnosed the issue in 5 minutes, but didn’t have the ignitor on his repair truck. Took an hout to drive and get the part from the warehouse. Installed the new part in 10 minutes. Charged $85 for weekend overtime and $220 for parts and labor. I thought the charges were a little high for what was repaired and installed.

We had Carbon Valley Heating and Air come and do a winter inspection of our furnace. We’d never had one done and figured it was time. Bryan came and was wonderful. He cleaned it, vacuumed, changed the filter, checked that every thing was working properly, He was there for an hour and a half and they only charged us $85. It was the best money we’ve spent on the house. I HIGHLY recommend Carbon Valley Heating and Air.
